Dwarf St. Johnswort
Hypericum mutilum

Among St. Johnsworts, this species is dwarf not in plant size, but in flower size. Canadian St. Johnswort also has tiny flowers, but its leaves are long and skinny; dwarf St. Johnswort has the oval leaves typical of St. Johnsworts.

• Family: Mangosteen (Clusiaceae)
• Habitat: wet ground, streambanks
• Height: 1-3 feet
• Flower size: less than 1/4 inch
• Flower color: yellow to yellow-orange
• Flowering time: July to September
• Origin: native
