Spotted St. Johnswort Hypericum punctatum Spotted St. Johnswort looks a lot like common St. Johnswort (Hypericum perforatum). Look for black dots on the petals -- in spotted St Johnswort, the dots are on the back of the petals, while in common St. Johnswort, they are only at the edges. Spotted St. Johnswort also has black dots on its leaves (see the second photo below), and it prefers a damper habitat than does common St. Johnswort.
Family: Mangosteen (Clusiaceae)
