Sulfur Cinquefoil (Rough-fruited Cinquefoil)
Potentilla recta
There are around a dozen species of cinquefoil in Connecticut. Sulfur cinquefoil can be identified by its pale yellow flowers. This plant is an alien in Connecticut; it is native to Europe and northern Asia. Sulfur cinquefoil is a serious weed in rangelands in Midwestern United States.
