Connecticut Plants
Periwinkle (Creeping Myrtle)
Vinca minor
Periwinkle is a garden plant that escapes from cultivation. In this country, it apparently does not spread by seed -- only by expanding the size of its patch by its creeping stems. Because of this, Vinca growing in a wild area generally marks the site of a former home and garden.
