We will explore the Phelps pond shoreline near the cabin on foot. Then we shall use canoes and kayaks to reach the poor fen community on the north side of the pond. This trip will revisit a CBS trip that took place about 25 years ago. We hope to see Pitcher plant, Lyonia ligustrina, leatherleaf and large-leaf cranberry, among other interesting species.
