The area encompasses woodland with native plants; remnants from homes that were there before the reservoir was built, such as Thermopsis villosa, Digitalis grandiflora, and Hemerocallis fulva; and plants of wet meadows, ponds and pond edges, such as Vaccinium macrocarpon (American cranberry), Lyonia ligustrina (He-huckleberry) and Gentiana clausa (bottle gentian).
Meeting Location Details:
426A Colebrook River Road, Colebrook CT 06021
Directions: From Rt. 44 in Winsted by Northwest CT Community College, turn north and go 5.5 miles on Rt. 8 (Colebrook River Road).
